Established in 2004 and based in Houston, Texas, The Drywater Band sets the standard for Texas-area corporate, special event, & wedding bands. Widely regard by agencies, planners, and venues to be amongst the country's elite variety dance bands, Drywater is comprised of accomplished recording artists, session & touring musicians, record producers, worship leaders, and audio engineers. Drywater management matches the most appropriate vocalists to your genre, song, and personnel preferences, and also offers the unique opportunity to book notable recording artists as special guests.
The Drywater Band performs as a 7 to 15-piece group consisting of male vocals, female vocals, keyboards, pedal steel guitar, lead guitar, baritone saxophone, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bass, drums, fiddle, and percussion. Choose your own instrumentation, or consult with music director Bruce Wiggins regarding the best lineup for your genre, song, and personnel preferences.
The Drywater Band's 350+ song repertoire is well suited for diverse audiences, and encompasses a wide variety of different musical styles including Top 40, Rock, Pop, Country, Disco, R & B, Jazz, Latin, and Hip-Hop. The group is well-known for their ability to authentically recreate studio quality renditions in a live setting. Working with your preferences regarding song selection and accommodating special requests, every performance is customized.
For cocktail and dinner the band plays lower volume acoustic and instrumental songs. When it's party time, the group seamlessly segues, transitions, and medleys through a barrage of up-tempo dance hits. Engaging the audience, the band never misses a beat, and provides non-stop music throughout the sets. Performing one power house sing-a-long after another, Drywater encourages audience participation. When appropriate, slow and mid-tempo songs are mixed in.
The Drywater Band's production includes premium sound reinforcement, wireless microphones, energy efficient LED stage wash lighting, and break music service. Drywater's self-contained production can accommodate nearly any situation from an intimate 50 person dinner in a small banquet room to a 1250 person corporate event in a 30,000 sq. ft. ballroom. All Drywater crew members are covered under the band's $1,000,000 general liability insurance policy.
Since 2004 The Drywater Band has performed at several hundred wedding receptions. The group works closely with Houston-area brides, grooms, parents, vendors, and wedding planners to ensure that entertainment and sound production for your special day is scheduled and performed with special attention to detail. Additional Houston-area wedding services include ceremony music, ceremony sound, dancefloor lighting, and stage backdrops.
As the largest city in Texas, Houston is home to more Fortune 500 companies than any other metropolis except New York City. The Drywater Band has a long history of providing high-energy dance bands for these discerning Houston-area corporate clients and their international guests. Offering professional dancers, instructors, and interactive line dance instruction for themed events, Drywater is also well adept at performing house band duties at corporate awards ceremonies and presentations. Drywater incorporates "stings", "in-ear monitors", "talk-back mics", "reprisals", "cues", and "stem mixes", and works well with technical directors and event producers.
