Austin is considered the "live music capital of the world", and no other special event group is more established in the hill country region than The Drywater Band. Recording artists, session musicians, record producers, worship leaders, and audio engineers comprise The Drywater Band's talented roster of Grammy-award winning industry professionals. Setting the standard for Austin-area corporate, special event, & wedding bands, Drywater matches the most appropriate vocalists to specific genre and song preferences. Drywater also offers the unique opportunity of booking notable recording artists as special guest performers.
Performing in Austin and throughout the state as a 7 to 15-piece group, The Drywater Band consists of female vocals, male vocals, bass, drums, keyboards, pedal steel guitar, lead guitar, baritone saxophone, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trumpet, trombone, fiddle, and percussion. Choose your own instrumentation, or consult with music director Bruce Wiggins regarding the best lineup for your genre, song, and personnel preferences.
Performing Top 40, Rock, Pop, Country, Disco, R & B, Jazz, Latin, and Hip-Hop covers, The Drywater Band's 350+ song repertoire encompasses a wide variety of different musical styles. The band is well known for its ability to recreate studio quality renditions in a live setting.
The band plays lower volume acoustic and instrumental songs during cocktail hour and dinner. When it's party time, Drywater flawlessly segues, transitions, and medleys through a barrage of up-tempo dance hits. Engaging the audience and never missing a beat, the band provides non-stop music throughout the sets. Drywater performs one power house sing-a-long after another and encourages audience participation. When appropriate, slow and mid-tempo songs are incorporated.
The Drywater Band's crew are all covered under the band's $1,000,000 general liability policy. The group's self contained sound & lighting production includes premium sound reinforcement, in-ear monitors, wireless microphones, wireless mixing, energy efficient LED stage wash lighting, and break music service. Drywater can accommodate nearly any production challenge ranging from an intimate 50 person dinner in a small banquet room to a 1750 person corporate event in a 35,000 sq. ft. ballroom.
Since 2004 The Drywater Band has performed at over 300 wedding receptions. The group works closely with Austin-area brides, grooms, parents, videographers, and wedding planners to ensure that entertainment and sound production for your special day is scheduled and performed with special attention to detail.
Drywater provides professional dancers, instructors, interactive line dance instruction, and high-energy dance bands for country themed corporate events in Austin and the surrounding Hill Country region. The group is also well adept at performing "house band" duties at corporate awards ceremonies and presentations. Technical directors can be confident in the band's familiarity with "stings", "in-ear monitors", "talk-back mics", "reprisals", "cues", and "stem mixes".
