3. Hire a Band with Lots of Singers and Musicians
You don't want to be left without a singer or drummer because the group you hired is restricted to quarantine. In times of Covid-19, it's important to hire a company with multiple bands, a loaded talent roster, and a group with several talented singers and musicians in the organization. Then you can rest assured that musical entertainment will not cancel on your special day due to last minute Covid-19 exposure or quarantines.
2. Force Majeure and Covid-19 Terms
Always insist on terms that address Covid-19, postponement, cancellation, and force majeure. Avoid agreements that don't allow for postponement due to government mandates. In the case government mandate makes it impossible for the band to perform it's services, Drywater will apply the retainer to a new date.
1. Hire Local or Fly The Band In the Day Before
Flying a band in for your Texas wedding is costly AND risky. Hire a group that can drive to your event to avoid flight delays and Covid related travel restrictions. If you do fly a band in, NEVER rely on day-of air travel. Drywater travels the day before events to leave cushion for changes.
