    For the second week in a row, Drywater traveled to Austin for a wedding reception.  The weather on this particular day, coupled with a breathtaking view of Lake Travis, provided a picturesque setting for this Austin wedding.  Vintage Villas is a classy small to medium sized venue with a friendly staff and great food.  
The quiche and garlic chicken was very tasty.  

In attendance was Jake Holt, an Austin area photojournalist who takes a contem.....

    For the second year in a row, The Drywater Band was asked to perform at Sugarland Town Square's Chili Cook Off.  Congratulations to "It's the Pitts Cookers" for winning first prize.  It looks like we'll be back out for the cook-off in 2009.

    Thanks again to the Marietta and Teddy families for having us perform at their rehearsal dinner.  Thurman's Mansion at Salt Lick BBQ is a beautiful venue nestled in the hills of Driftwood, TX.  This place has great BBQ and the staff was very friendly.  As usual, there was lots of dancing!  Austin Wedding Day magazine was there to take photos of this spectacular rehearsal dinner.

    We had a great time entertaining for our friends, Joe and Amy Shahda, at the Heights Fire Station.  Joe and many of this friends are fellow musicians, and we had a blast jamming with everybody.  An old, and in tune, house piano was an unexpected bonus for our performance.    

Looking for a unique place to throw a party "inside the loop"?  Check out the Heights Fire Station.  This place has a lot of history, and is a unique loca.....

    The Drywater Band will be making it's Las Vegas debut at The Ritz Carlton on Apr. 25, 2009.  Special thanks to Rebecca for choosing us as your wedding band!  We were competing with several other acts across the country for this particular gig, and the bride chose us!

    Drywater has recently completed a 3-month stand as the house band for the Woodlands Resort & Conference Center, and we'll back at it again next June.  Nothing like bikinis, fruity drinks, swimming, and The Drywater Band!

    This was our first time to perform in Palestine.  Special thanks to Jim and Dee Dee, the owners of Elmwood Gardens, for their generosity and hospitality.  We had a great time entertaining for the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Gavin Taylor, and look forward to returning to Elmwood Gardens for future events.

    Here is some cool footage of the bride, Christi, singing "No One" with Dixie and The Drywater Band.  This was a great party crowd, with dancing from start to finish.  The bride had a special request for her father/daughter dance.  When she was 10 yrs. old, she recorded the Anne Murray hit, "Could I Have This Dance" onto tape.  We were able to convert the tape to MP3, and fade it into the band's version while she was dancing with her father.  Very.....

    This past Saturday, the Drywater acoustic trio performed at West Side Tennis Club for Stale Berge's 40th Birthday bash.  These Norweigans really know how to throw a party!  The dance floor was filled with two-steppin' and booty shakin' Nordic party animals!  Check out pics of Stale singing "Purple Rain" with the band.  Of course, Jim McIngvale, a.k.a."Mattress Mack", and his wife, Linda, own West Side Tennis Club.  Thanks for the Tempurepedic, Ji.....
